About Me

Monique was born in Niskayuna, NY, and raised in Fairfield, CT, where her passion for cake artistry began with her mother’s vintage Wilton magazines. By sixteen, she was designing custom cakes for friends and knew she belonged in the culinary world. She went on to earn her degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University.

After years in the restaurant industry, Monique chose to focus on family and began baking for a close circle of teachers, friends, and community members. What began as thoughtful gestures quickly evolved into The Fairfield Cake Lady. Today, Monique continues to refine her craft—blending tradition, elegance, and a taste for the exceptional.
